Top ranked Cairns Taipans (4-2) recorded its second loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked New Zealand Breakers (4-2) 68-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cairns Taipans. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was dominated by American players.
