Very predictable result in Brisbane where third ranked Melbourne Phoenix (11-8) smashed 9th ranked Bullets (4-11) 104-77 on Wednesday. Melbourne Phoenix dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Bullets' 44. They outrebounded Bullets 45-26 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) who scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Syrian-American guard George Kell III (193-1996, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Melbourne Phoenix players scored in double figures.
