Important game to mention about took place in Auckland. Third ranked New Zealand Breakers (13-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Perth Wildcats (10-10) 97-94 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. New Zealand Breakers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Perth Wildcats' 42. American players dominated the game. Barry Brown Jr (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jamaal Brantley (200-1993, college: Cameron) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Brantley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Bryce Cotton (182-1992, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 32 points and 5 assists and forward Brady Manek (206-1998, college: UNC) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five New Zealand Breakers and four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. New Zealand Breakers maintains third position with 13-6 record having just three points less than leader Sydney.
