Regular Season Round 14: Adelaide - NZL Breakers 83-85

The most exciting game of round 14 in the NBL took place in Findon. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Adelaide 36ers (11-10) to third ranked New Zealand Breakers (13-6) 85-83 on Sunday evening. New Zealand Breakers forced 22 Adelaide 36ers turnovers. The former international guard William McDowell-White (196-1998, college: Fresno St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Jamaal Brantley (200-1993, college: Cameron) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Brantley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Robert Franks (201-1996, college: WSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Antonius Cleveland (196-1994, college: SEMO) added 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Five New Zealand Breakers and four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. New Zealand Breakers maintains third position with 13-6 record having just three points less than leader Sydney. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Tasmania JJ. New Zealand Breakers are looking forward to face league's second-placed Cairns Taipans at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Adelaide 36ers will play against Perth Wildcats and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
