Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Townsville Fire (8-4) smashed at home 6th ranked Adelaide Lightning (4-11) 92-63 on Friday. Townsville Fire dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Adelaide Lightning's 32. Townsville Fire looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Tianna Hawkins (191-1991, college: Maryland, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. British-American swingman Karlie Samuelson (183-1995, college: Stanford) chipped in 29 points.
