Very important is a road loss of first ranked Kings (19-9) against seventh ranked Perth Wildcats (15-13) on Sunday night. Visiting Kings were defeated by Perth Wildcats in Perth 96-84. Perth Wildcats made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The former international swingman Luke Travers (200-2001) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and New Zealand guard Corey Webster (188-1988, college: Lambuth) supported him with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by the former international guard Dejan Vasiljevic (190-1997, college: Miami, FL) did not help to save the game for Kings. Forward Xavier Cooks (203-1995, college: Winthrop) added 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Perth Wildcats moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Melbourne and SE Melbourne. Defending champion Kings still keep top position with nine games lost.
