Bandits used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Hornsby 104-61 on Saturday night. Bandits dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Spiders' 36. Bandits forced 20 Spiders turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Jamir Coleman (201, college: CCSU, agency: Haylett Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import center Mike Parks Jr. (206-1997, college: Memphis, agency: Haylett Sports) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Parks Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Bandits players scored in double figures. Even 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks by center Peitok Machar (206-2003) did not help to save the game for Spiders. Forward Patrick Fraser (196, college: UNK) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bandits will meet at home Hills Hornets in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spiders will play against Sydney City Comets in Alexandria and hope to win that game.
