Very important is a home loss of Canberra Gunners against Mustangs on Saturday night. Host Canberra Gunners were defeated by Mustangs in a tough game in Canberra 70-75. Mustangs made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Swingman Will Cranston-Lown (185, college: Regis Univ.) notched 37 points (!!!) to lead the effort and Canadian point guard Matthew Gray (183, college: Camosun) supported him with 9 points and 7 rebounds. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by center Glenn Morison (208, college: St.Edward's) did not help to save the game for Canberra Gunners. Guard James Toohey (188, college: SVSU) added 5 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Mustangs will meet at home Norths Soul Sports Bears in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Canberra Gunners will play against Crusaders in Terrigal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
