Regular Season Round 3: Logan T. - SW Metro P. 95-77

Thunder used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Runcorn 95-77 on Friday night. Thunder made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while South West Metro Pirates only scored four points from the stripe. It was a great shooting night for Thunder especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was forward Mitch Young (206-1990, college: St.Mary's, CA) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Boston Mazlin (189-2002) chipped in 25 points. Thunder's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was center Ben Volkman (206, college: Maryville, MO) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Kai Woodfall (183, college: MBU) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four Thunder and five South West Metro Pirates players scored in double figures. Thunder will meet Northside Wizards (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. South West Metro Pirates will play against Roar and hope to get finally their first victory.
