There was a minor upset in Taigum where one of their biggest challengers Thunder (1-1) was defeated by sixth ranked Northside Wizards (2-1) 90-84 on Saturday. Northside Wizards made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Andrew White III (200-1993, college: Syracuse) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Cameron Healy (190, college: SUU) who added 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Five Northside Wizards players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Mitch Young (206-1990, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Shaun Bruce (190-1991) scored 14 points and 8 assists. Northside Wizards moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Townsville H. and Sunbury J. Loser Thunder keeps the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with 11 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
