Everything went according to plan in Hamilton Hill where leader Flames (3-0) won against bottom-ranked Cougars (0-2) 108-101 on Thursday. Flames made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) stepped up and scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and naturalized American guard Marshall Nelson (184-1994, college: WBU) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. Swingman Gavin Field (202-1989, college: UWG) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Courtney Alexander (203-1997, college: Tenn Tech) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds.
