The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Bearcats (2-1) in Woodville on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Panthers (2-1) 85-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bearcats. Panthers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Ashleigh Spencer (181-1992) stepped up and scored 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Jade Johnson (175, college: SFC) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Panthers players scored in double figures. Molly Coleman (188-2000, college: USC Upstate) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jasmin Fejo (177-2000) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panthers moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Bearcats. Panthers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Adelaide Rockets.
