There was no surprise in Melbourne where 9th ranked Spectres (3-2) were defeated by seventh ranked Tigers (2-3) 88-71 on Thursday. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Spectres' 36. Worth to mention a great performance of American Jade Odom (178, college: Southeastern) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists and swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: St.Mary's, CA) who added 23 points during the contest. Tigers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Rachel Brewster (180-1997, college: Utah St.) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Emma Pearce scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tigers maintains seventh position with 2-3 record, which they share with 4 other teams.
