Everything went according to plan in Heathmont where fourth ranked Hawks (4-1) won against 12th ranked Wildcats (1-2) 67-52 on Friday. Hawks forced 19 Wildcats turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marena Whittle (180-1994, college: NDSU, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and forward Piper Dunlop (187-2003) who added 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Hawks' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international swingman Anneli Maley (187-1998, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Hailey Leidel (180-1997, college: UMass) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Hawks have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Wildcats dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. They share it with Logan T. and Warwick S.. Hawks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
