No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Ballarat Miners (4-2) beat 11th ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (2-3) in Ulverstone 94-84 on Saturday. Ballarat Miners made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Guard Jack Davidson (185-1998) notched 41 points (!!!) (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) to lead the effort and naturalized Greek swingman Nicolas Pozoglou (196-1996, agency: Diamond Sports) supported him with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Five Ballarat Miners players scored in double figures. Even 26 points by guard Tre Armstrong (193-2000, college: CBU) did not help to save the game for NW Tasmania Thunder. Forward Venkatesha Jois (203-1993, college: EWU) added 10 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. NW Tasmania Thunder's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
