Very expected game when 10th ranked Dandenong Rangers (2-4) were smashed by third ranked Frankston Blues (5-1) in Seaford 100-72 on Monday. Frankston Blues shot 19 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Dandenong Rangers only scored one point from the stripe. Frankston Blues forced 22 Dandenong Rangers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Igor Hadziomerovic (193-1992, college: Boise St.) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Lucas Barker (183-1993, college: Indianapolis) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals for the winning side. Four Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. Frankston Blues' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Guard Jesse Ghee (183-1995, college: Fullerton JC) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Deng Puoch (-1999) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Dandenong Rangers in the defeat.
