Big V top team - Flames (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Lightning (3-4) in Rockingham 108-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lightning. Flames dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lightning's 34 and made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Flames forced 22 Lightning turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Tom Jervis (211-1987, college: Troy) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Flames players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Daniel Green (208-1992, college: Newman) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Dominic Jackson (203-1997, college: TAMIU) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively.
