No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Thunder (3-3) edged 13th ranked Seahawks (1-4) in Runaway Bay 63-62 on Saturday. Mikhaela Cann notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and New Zealand forward Ashley Taia (182-1994, college: Indiana St.) supported her with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Even 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Bionca Dunham (188, college: Louisville) did not help to save the game for Seahawks. Forward Bride Kennedy-Hopoate (185-1997, college: N.Mexico) added 11 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Thunder moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Seahawks dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. Thunder will meet Rip City (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Seahawks will play against Force in Booval and hope to win that game.
