No shocking result in a game when third ranked Suns (5-2) crushed 7th ranked Hume City Broncos (1-6) in Tullamarine 83-63 on Sunday. Suns dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hume City Broncos' 26. They outrebounded Hume City Broncos 57-36 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hume City Broncos' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Suns made 13 blocks. New Zealand forward Alicia Carline (190-1993, college: Portland St.) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 blocks (made all of her seven free throws) to lead the effort and Tenaya Sooalo supported her with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by Chrisoula Triantafyllopoulos did not help to save the game for Hume City Broncos. Paige Tawaf added 15 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suns have a solid four-game winning streak.
