Regular Season Round 11: Maitland M. - BA CoE 56-70

Very expected game in Maitland where 7th ranked Mustangs (5-4) were defeated by second ranked BA CoE (8-1) 70-56 on Saturday. BA CoE outrebounded Mustangs 46-28 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Isla Juffermans (191-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Center Jessica Petrie (186-2005) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Rachel Williams produced 17 points and forward Mila Wawszkowicz (181-2004) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for BA CoE. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Joondalup W. Loser Mustangs keep the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Bankstown B. and Sandringham S.. BA CoE will meet at home Sharks (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mustangs will play against Bulls and hope to secure a win.
