Everything went according to plan in Mandurah where fifth ranked Tigers (8-3) edged bottom-ranked Magic (0-9) 108-106 on Saturday. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Darnell Hoskins Jr (180, college: SVSU) who scored 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Gorjok Gak (211-1996, college: CBU) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American DeQuan Abrom (188-1996, college: Belm.Abbey) who recorded 38 points (!!!) and 6 assists and his fellow American import power forward CJ Bobbitt (201-1997, college: Denver) added 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tigers moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Magic still closes the standings with nine games lost. Tigers will meet at home Giants (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Magic will have a break next round.
