Not a big story in a game when 19th ranked Dandenong Rangers (2-11) lost at home to ninth ranked Spectres (7-4) 103-89 on Sunday. Spectres made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Will Carius (201, college: W.Illinois) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Jalen Gibbs (190-1999, college: JSU) accounted for 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Five Spectres players scored in double figures. Point guard Jesse Ghee (183-1995, college: Fullerton JC) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and guard Jack Roberts (196-1999, college: SVSU) added 21 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Dandenong Rangers in the defeat. Spectres moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Dandenong Rangers lost their tenth game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Manly Warr.. Spectres will meet at home Tigers (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dandenong Rangers will play against Kilsyth Cobras and hope to secure a win.
