Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Sutherland Sharks (9-4) defeated at home 8th ranked Sydney City Comets (6-5) 86-77 on Sunday. Sutherland Sharks forced 20 Sydney City Comets turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Lochlan Hutchison (188-1999, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. American Marquel Beasley (196-1993, college: Fort Lewis) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Archie Woodhill (206-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and center Johnny Crnogorac (216-1995, college: UTRGV, agency: Haylett Sports) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Sydney City Comets in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sutherland Sharks maintains fourth place with 9-4 record. Sydney City Comets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with five games lost.
