Regular Season Round 14: Nunawading S. - Melbourne T. 77-60

Date: May 27, 2023
Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Tigers (4-8) lost to twelfth ranked Spectres (6-6) in East Burwood 60-77 on Saturday. Spectres outrebounded Tigers 42-30 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international swingman Alice Kunek (185-1991, agency: LBM Management) notched 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Rachel Brewster (180-1997, college: Utah St.) supported her with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by forward Hannah Giddey (188, college: ORU) did not help to save the game for Tigers. Lily Carmody (-2005) added 14 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Spectres moved-up to fourth place, which they share with McKinnon C. Loser Tigers dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Spectres will meet at home Diamond Valley Eagles (#7) in the next round. Tigers will play against Ballarat Rush and hope to secure a win.
