No shocking result in a game in Willetton where third ranked Tigers (9-3) edged 8th ranked Senators (5-5) 111-109 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Senators' 42 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Gorjok Gak (211-1996, college: CBU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and guard Damien Scott (192-1992) who added 25 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Tigers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international forward Cody Ellis (202-1990, college: St.Louis) responded with 26 points and American forward Hussayn Ford (198-1996, college: Northwest) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tigers and five Senators players scored in double figures. Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Frankston B. and Eltham W. Loser Senators keep the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with NGC Seahawks. Tigers will meet Suns (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Senators will play against Redbacks and hope to secure a win.
