There was no surprise when 14th ranked Panthers (3-11) lost on the road to sixth ranked Canberra Gunners (9-4) 101-85 on Saturday. Canberra Gunners looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard James Toohey (188-1998, college: SVSU) notched 21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and center Glenn Morison (208-1999, college: St.Edward's) supported him with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by forward Jaedyn Fetui-Faamoe (192-2003) did not help to save the game for Panthers. Point guard Pranaya Sakya (176-1992) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Five Canberra Gunners and four Panthers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Canberra Gunners have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Perth R. and Wyndham D. Panthers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
