Very expected game in Wendouree where 18th ranked Ballarat Miners (3-11) were crushed by thirteenth ranked Sabres (6-8) 74-51 on Saturday. Sabres dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ballarat Miners' 24. They outrebounded Ballarat Miners 48-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Brittany Smart (177-1985, college: Cedarville) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Georgia Pineau (185-1997, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
