Everything went according to plan in Melbourne where fifth ranked Geelong Supercats (9-4) beat 16th ranked Thunder (4-10) 77-66 on Sunday. Geelong Supercats forced 20 Thunder turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Chantel Horvat (185-1998, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. Polish Agnieszka Skobel (180-1989) chipped in 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Geelong Supercats players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Japanese guard Ai Yamada (170-1995) who recorded 24 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Japanese center Kadysha Umezawa (190-1998) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively.
