There was a surprise result in Morley where thirteenth ranked Eagles (3-13) defeated higher ranked Senators (6-7) 88-84 on Friday. It was a great evening for American power forward Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Power forward Sebit Reath (208-1998, college: Lee JC) helped adding 21 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Ethan Elliott (190-2004, college: Trinity Baptist) responded with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Caleb Davis (206-1995, college: SVSU) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Eagles maintains thirteenth place with 3-13 record. Loser Senators dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Geelong S.. Eagles will meet at home higher ranked Cougars (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Senators will play against Magic in Mandurah and hope to secure a win.
