There was a small surprise in Perth where tenth ranked Cougars (6-8) edged 8th ranked Senators (6-7) 101-98 on Saturday. Cougars looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Courtney Alexander (203-1997, college: Tenn Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Taj Benning (193-1998, college: Fairfield) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Caleb Davis (206-1995, college: SVSU) responded with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Ethan Elliott (190-2004, college: Trinity Baptist) scored 23 points and 5 assists. Five Cougars and four Senators players scored in double figures. Cougars have a solid series of three victories in a row.
