There was no surprise when 13th ranked Rip City (3-10) was edged on the road by seventh ranked Brisbane Spartans (9-5) 65-64 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Guard Jessica McDowell-White (168-2000, college: USF) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swedish forward Elin Gustavsson (190-1993, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Brisbane Spartans' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard NDea Flye (173-1998, college: Rocky Mountain) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Stephanie Bairstow (188-1994, college: Utah St.) added 20 points respectively for lost side.
