Important game to mention about took place in Runaway Bay. Eleventh ranked Seahawks (7-5) saved a 1-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Salties (10-4) 110-109 in the fight for the third place. Seahawks made 27-of-35 charity shots (77.1 percent) during the game. Seahawks outrebounded Salties 49-32 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Salties were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American guard Alexa Held (178-1999, college: DePaul) who scored that evening 48 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Erin Riley (180, college: Keiser) supported her with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of her eight free throws). Even 27 points and 6 rebounds by forward Catherine MacGregor (181-2002) did not help to save the game for Salties. Forward Chelsea Brook (188-1998) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Five Salties players scored in double figures. Seahawks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Norwood F. Salties at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Logan T. and Geelong LS. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
