Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Suns (4-9) outplayed 12th ranked Redbacks (1-12) in Northbridge 100-78 on Friday. Suns shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized British power forward Samantha Roscoe (194-1995, college: N.Dakota) nailed 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Makailah Dyer (175-1994, college: N.Dakota) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Forward Brooke Malone (185-2003, college: Idaho) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Dajah Daniel added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Redbacks in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suns moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Woodville W. Redbacks lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Suns will meet at home Slammers (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Redbacks will play against Lightning (#8) in Bullcreek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
