There was no surprise when 5th ranked Flames (9-5) lost to third ranked Tigers (12-3) in Rockingham 87-98 on Friday. Tigers made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Flames turnovers and outrebounded them 50-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Swingman Desiree Kelley (175-1995) nailed 30 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international swingman Alexandra Sharp (182-1997, college: Wake Forest) accounted for 18 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. American forward Mehryn Kraker (183-1994, college: Green Bay) came up with 26 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and guard Casey Samuels (182-1994) added 23 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Flames in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Flames' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tigers have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Norths B. and Waverley F. Loser Flames dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
