Regular Season Round 18: SW Slammers - Rockingham F. 51-129

No shocking result in a game in Bunbury where sixth ranked Flames (11-5) outleveled bottom-ranked Slammers (0-15) 129-51 on Friday. Flames forced 28 Slammers turnovers and outrebounded them 49-31 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Slammers' players. The best player for the winners was guard Tayah Burrows (179-2001) who had a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals. American forward Mehryn Kraker (183-1994, college: Green Bay) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Five Flames players scored in double figures. Coach Tom Knowles's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Alex Ciabattoni (180-1994) who recorded 5 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Kate Williams added 9 points respectively. Flames moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with 15 games lost. They share the position with RedCity R.. Flames will meet Lightning (#8) in the next round. Slammers will play against Giants (#11) in Kalgoorlie and hope to get finally their first victory.
