Not a big story in a game in Loganholme where 12th ranked Force (4-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Thunder (11-4) 83-69 on Saturday. Thunder outrebounded Force 56-45 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Mikaela Ruef (191-1990, college: Stanford) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 29 rebounds and 5 assists. Mikhaela Cann chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Thunder's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Maria Blazejewski (185-1991, college: LSSU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Alison Gorrell (178-1993, college: FAU) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Thunder have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sydney C. and Darwin S. Loser Force dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Hume City B. and USC Rip. Thunder will meet at home league's second-placed Salties in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Force will play against the league's second-placed Salties (#2) and hope to secure a win.
