We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gold Coast where 10th ranked Capitals (8-7) were defeated by eleventh ranked Rollers (8-7) 82-78 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) who had a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals. The other American import forward Cate Reese (188, college: Arizona) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mia Loyd (181-1994, college: N.Dakota) who recorded 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Stephanie Collins (196-1995, college: SMU) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rollers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Warwick S. and Brisbane C. Capitals lost third consecutive game. Rollers will meet at home Seahawks (#9) in the next round. Capitals will have a break next round.
