No shocking result in a game in Pasadena where top-ranked Sabres (14-0) edged 4th ranked Eagles (7-7) 66-65 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Mikayla Williams (183, college: USF) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds. Kayla Mathews chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Sabres' coach Tim Shortt allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Jessica Simons who recorded 16 points and 4 assists and Madison Freer added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Sabres have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-0 record. Loser Eagles dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with W.Adelaide B.. Sabres will meet at home league's second-placed Tigers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
