Not a big story in a game in Northbridge where 12th ranked Redbacks (1-16) were outplayed by seventh ranked Senators (10-7) 118-62 on Friday. Senators dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Redbacks' 34. Senators forced 22 Redbacks turnovers and outrebounded them 50-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Redbacks' players. It was a great evening for forward Mackenzie Clinch-Hoycard (191-1998, college: Hawaii) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Stacey Barr (173-1992, college: Idaho) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Senators players scored in double figures. At the losing side Dajah Daniel responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Ella Dimanlig scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Senators. They maintain seventh place with 10-7 record. Redbacks lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Senators will meet Slammers (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Redbacks will play against Eagles in Morley and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
