There was a surprise result in Cranbourne where nineteenth ranked Cavaliers (3-15) smashed higher ranked Chargers (7-12) 110-85 on Saturday. Cavaliers shot 60.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Cavaliers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a great evening for Taylah Simmons (185-1997, college: Southeastern) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. American guard Lauren Van Kleunen (188, college: Marquette) helped adding 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Five Cavaliers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Paige Bradley (178-1994, college: Denver) responded with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Cori Coleman (173-1993, college: CSU) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Cavaliers moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Hills H. Loser Chargers keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Cavaliers will meet Tigers (#17) in the next round. Chargers will play against Thunder and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
