Very predictable result in Maitland where first ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (17-2) beat 7th ranked Mustangs (11-7) 69-58 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Bree Delaney (178, college: Fresno St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points. Forward Kimberley Hodge (182-1998) helped adding 7 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Madison Washington (185, college: Oregon St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and forward Shakera Reilly (178-1999) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Mustangs' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Loser Mustangs dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Perry Lakes H. and Darwin S.. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will meet at home Spireds (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mustangs will play against Panthers (#13) in Penrith and hope to secure a win.
