There was an upset in Mt. Barker where higher ranked Rockets (9-8) were edged by ninth ranked Mavericks (4-13) 76-74 on Friday. Mavericks outrebounded Rockets 49-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Ugandan guard Jannon Otto (183-1997, college: UC Riverside) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and power forward Olivia Bradley (183-2005) who added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Mavericks players scored in double figures. Guard Brooke Basham (178-1997) responded with 21 points and 5 assists and Jordyn Freer scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Mavericks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Rockets dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost.
