Regular Season Round 20: Albury LB - Sutherland S. 94-100

Date: July 8, 2023
Everything went according to plan in Albury where fifth ranked Sharks (13-6) won against 8th ranked Lady Bandits (10-9) 100-94 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: SMC) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Aliza Fabbro (172-2001) who added 26 points during the contest. American forward Malury Bates (191-1999, college: Georgia, agency: Shark Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) and her fellow American import guard Mikayla Pivec (178-1997, college: Oregon St.) produced a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. Four Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. Sharks maintains fifth position with 13-6 record. Loser Lady Bandits keep the eighth place with nine games lost. Sharks will meet at home league's second-placed Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lady Bandits will play against Nationals (#9) in Canberra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
