There was no surprise in Bulleen where 6th ranked Hume City Broncos (5-12) were defeated by second ranked Boomers (15-2) 74-60 on Saturday. Boomers forced 21 Hume City Broncos turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Ally Keating who helped to win the game recording 18 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-1993) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American forward Kayonna Lee (185, college: Central Mo.) responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds and Tegan Hindle scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boomers have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-2 record having eight points less than leader Wyndham D. Loser Hume City Broncos keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with USC Rip. Boomers will meet at home league's leader Devils in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hume City Broncos will play against Jets (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
