There was no surprise in Kalamunda where 11th ranked Giants (4-13) were defeated by ninth ranked Suns (7-11) 90-76 on Saturday. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Natalie Chou (185-1997, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the other American import guard Makailah Dyer (175-1994, college: N.Dakota) who added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Suns players scored in double figures. The former international forward Darcee Garbin (188-1994) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Aimee Borchet scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Suns maintains ninth position with 7-11 record. Loser Giants dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Suns will meet at home Eagles (#10) in the next round. Giants will play against Flames and hope to secure a win.
