No shocking result in a game in Sunbury where third ranked Jets (14-5) smashed 10th ranked Steelers (2-16) 108-70 on Sunday. They outrebounded Steelers 60-27 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Jets shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 54.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Steelers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mark Berezdecky (197-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Nathan Marshall who added 25 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Jets players scored in double figures. Jets' coach John White felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized British guard Daryl Corletto (193-1981) responded with 30 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and American center Russell Permenter (203-1988, college: Providence) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Jets have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Canberra G. and Hume City B. Steelers lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 16 games lost. Jets will meet Cougars (#6) in the next round. Steelers will play against Storm (#9) in Bellarine and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
