Regular Season Round 33: Bellarine S. - Western PS 75-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bellarine where 9th ranked Storm (4-14) was defeated by tenth ranked Steelers (2-16) 83-75 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Scott Stone (193-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) who scored 40 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import center Russell Permenter (203-1988, college: Providence) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. Steelers' coach Mark Gaze used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Nathan Gronbeck who recorded 19 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and guard Max Kos added 20 points respectively. Steelers maintains tenth place with 2-16 record. Storm lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. They share it with C.District L. and Eastern M.. Steelers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Storm will play against Cougars (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
