Regular Season Round 33: NGC Seahawks - SW Metro P. 99-103

There was no surprise in Runaway Bay where 12th ranked Seahawks (7-12) were defeated by sixth ranked South West Metro Pirates (11-8) 103-99 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-1991, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Ben Volkman (206-1997, college: Maryville, MO) chipped in 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Joshua Duach (197-2003, college: Iona) who recorded 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American guard Wesley Harris (203-1997, college: Tennessee St.) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four South West Metro Pirates and five Seahawks players scored in double figures. South West Metro Pirates moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Seahawks lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Cockburn C. and Brisbane C.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
