Very predictable result in East Burwood where seventh ranked Spectres (13-9) defeated 16th ranked Ringwood Hawks (8-14) 91-87 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Spectres outrebounded Ringwood Hawks 45-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Will Carius (201, college: W.Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Josh Tomasi (208-2000, college: St.Cloud St.) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Four Spectres players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jonathan Lawton (188-1996, college: FSC, agency: IceBasket) who recorded 41 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Kyle Daggett (198-1999, college: Shepherd) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Spectres moved-up to sixth place. Loser Ringwood Hawks keep the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
