Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (12-10) were rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Eltham Wildcats (13-8) 97-69 on Saturday. Eltham Wildcats outrebounded Diamond Valley Eagles 47-36 including a 42-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 54.3 percentage. Eltham Wildcats looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Diamond Valley Eagles' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Eltham Wildcats made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Owen Foxwell (187-2003) who scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Callum Dalton (207-2000) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was forward BJ Symons (-1998) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Sudanese forward Ngor Manyang (200-1993) added 19 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eltham Wildcats maintains fifth place with 13-8 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Diamond Valley Eagles lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost.
